Well the “bug” has finally caught me so I’m out for today.  WoW!  How those girls danced last week feeling like this baffles me.  Stacey will be in today running exam work, reading sheets and doing group corrections.  It is important that the students are there.  I don’t want to come in and pass it anymore.

There are lots of boxes of props in the Lethbridge back studio that need to be picked up and taken to Medicine Hat this evening.  Lots of you have emailed me saying that you would do so.  Please go into the back studio or pull up to the back door and Heather will let you in.  Please take what you can as we have no more room.  All boxes must go!  Bring it backstage in the Hat as soon as you get there.  Please bring them back to the studio on Monday as they need to get home as well.

Please go over your tights shoe list and be sure if it was changed at dance power…go with it! (cotton Candy beige shimmer!)

I will not be in to run solos tonight at 8:30.  The studio space is there.  Please feel free to run you dances.  I will be sure that Heather and Stacey hand out any solo and duo sheets that I have not gone through yet…most are done.

Oh boy!  Please stay healthy!  This is a wicked virus!

Festival of Friends is being held at the Medicine Hat College Theatre.

We can not be responsible for taking solo and duo props.  You must take your own.

If you are able to take a box of props for your group or if you are taking a truck and can fit some of the bigger props, it would be greatly appreciated.
We do not have room in the VanDance trailer for all of the group props and will have to ask for parent help.
Please email back if you can take some items…anything will help!!

Reminder to the VanDance competition group:

• Please do not sit in the front few rows of the theatre.
• Please use the downstairs change room so we are all together.
• Be ready, dressed, hair and make up done a minimum of a half an hour before each dance.  Do not be late!!
• Please dress and meet up in the Sterndale Bennett Theatre to rehearse 1/2 hr before each number.
• Cheer and be kind to each and every competitor from every studio.
• Get plenty of rest this week and eat properly.  You need to be at your best!
• Take care and be sure your make-up is done properly and your costumes are ironed and shoes are polished. If you are missing any costume pieces…email us now!!!
• Look after  all costumes and headpieces…be organized! There will always be a VanDance instructor backstage…you can speak to any one of us with any concerns.
• Work as a team, stick together and help each other out. Wear your VanDance garb!!

Circus Ponies practice in Lethbridge @ 10:30 in Lethbridge Saturday morning after Tap 2 practice.

Yates rehearsal Saturday and Sunday for solos and duos.

Yates group rehearsal for groups with props on Sunday evening at 7:10.

Please be sure of your times with Miss Pavlova this weekend…I did not have her schedule.

Final March Festival Company Rotation Week 3 2012

I will update you throughout the week with any changes.

Waltz bring outfits on Monday to Spanish class as well as all FINISHED Spanish skirts…we need to get lengths right.   (Mrs. Ash or Mrs. Coma please come to the studio for 8:30 on Monday as some alterations are still needed on Waltz)

Extra Practice in Taber for:  Candy Apple(Taber Pre Primary) in Taber Monday April 2 @ 4:00 Notice there is a Yates Group Prop Rehearsal @7:10 on Sunday April 8 for all students who are available.  This rehearsal will get us back on the stage and working out any difficulties with props.  Please try your best to be there.  Sorry that this is Easter Sunday. Medicine Hat program is posted at the studio along with Moose Jaw and Dance Power. Please be sure to go over the attached updated “hair, tights and shoes” list as there have been changes. Please remember to pick up costumes and costume pieces that were left at the studio to be fixed. No regular classes through Easter Break.  (April 6-April 15)

• Miss Lynn, Miss Renee and Miss Pavlova private lessons Friday March 30

• Mass solo/duo rehearsal is Saturday starting at 1:00(Bring your cd and your costumes!) Come watch all your friends!  Go Team!
• Marching On Rehearsal Saturday 12:30-1:00
• Tap Exam Rehearsals on Saturday April 7
• No classes on Good Friday…studio is closed
• Company and Private Lesson Regularly scheduled on Friday will be done on Monday April
• Yates schedule for Saturday Apr 7 and Sunday Apr 8 will be sent out this weekend.  It is posted at the studio.

I have had lots of questions about Med Hat schedule.  Miss Renee is almost done the scheduling.
Tentatively:
Friday will be solos and duos.  Groups will start on Saturday as well as the end of the solos and duos…if this helps!
Friday will start around 2:00 and everyone will be done after dinner on Sunday.
